Wind was a factor at this 2012 festival as well.¬† We raced on Saturday morning (2:27.35), but the afternoon races were cancelled because of white caps on the lake.¬† We did our second qualifying race on Sunday morning (2:27.29).¬† Then just before noon we raced in the Breast Cancer Survivor Race (2:19.34), the fastest time ever recorded by a Breast Friends crew, earning us gold.¬† It was a thrill to raft up with nine other survivor teams from all over BC and Alberta! Then we were in the Women’s Diamond A final (2:22.24), placing fifth.¬† The scenery, the Friday night party for survivors, all the great vendors, made for another amazing Penticton experience!
